How does the transcreation service work?
First of all, write to me about your needs. Then, we’ll schedule a call so you can explain to me the goal of your campaign and its concepts, the language in which it was initially written (English or Spanish), what needs translation into Italian (e.g. straplines, audio or video ads, billboards, etc.) and your preferred delivery date.
I then send you a complete proposal and should you accept it, we’ll start working together.
Before starting the process, I need to receive as many information as possible on the campaign: video, detailed concepts, visuals, brand and product presentation, brand’s tone of voice, communication guidelines and target’s profile
After going through all this information, I will start my creative brainstorming.
Transcreation differs from translation, as it sometimes needs to completely reinvent the text to make it suitable for your communication purpose.
Often, you have constraints in terms of the number of characters (or seconds, if it is an audio/video material), which can pose a challenge when the source language is as concise as English. Sometimes, these constraints are visual, and if a play on word that does not translate well in Italian is based on a visual element, you have to recreate the campaign copy altogether.

As you can see, it is a very complicated process, and the translation of a simple 4 words slogan can take several days.
